Chicago Cubs Lineup (6/20/22): Kilian Pitching, Hoerner SS, Rivas 1B
The Chicago Cubs open up a four-game series tonight against the Pirates in Pittsburgh in what feels like a peek at the future of the team. All four games will feature young prospects for the Cubs beginning tonight with Caleb Kilian on the hill.
Kilian has had a rough start to his very much anticipated major league debut, giving up eight runs over nine innings pitched in his first two starts for the Cubs. Tonight, however, sets up nicely as a possible get-right game against a sub-par Pirates squad whose offense currently ranks 29th in MLB.
Christopher Morel leads off for the Cubs tonight playing center, Willson Contreras is catching, Rafael Ortega is DH, and Ian Happ is in left. Patrick Wisdom is playing third, Jonathan Villar is at second, Nice Hoerner is at short, Jason Heyward is in right, and Alfonso Rivas is at first.
First pitch is at 6:05pm CT from PNC Park. The game will be broadcast on Marque Sports Network and 670 The Score.
