Watch: Nelson Velázquez Jacks Solo Shot Against Nationals

If you haven’t heard, the Chicago Cubs have plans to release Jason Heyward in hopes of getting their younger prospects more big league at-bats. One of the beneficiaries will be outfielder Nelson Velázquez, who just went yard with a solo shot against the Washington Nationals.

What was a little awkward was the timing of the home run. Velazquez hit it as Marquee Sports Network was showing the interview with Jed Hoyer talking about the upcoming release of Heyward.
