Chicago Cubs Lineup (8/20/22): Stroman Pitching, Madrigal Leading Off, McKinstry at Third
The Cubs are looking to win their fifth straight today with a victory over the Brewers. They’d also win their fifth straight series if they can take down the Brew Crew. The weather may have something to say about that, so we’ll have to see if they can get this game in or not.
Marcus Stroman (3-5, 3.96 ERA) is starting today for the Cubs. He’s had a rough stretch lately, giving up 11 runs in his past three starts of which only seven runs were earned. So, yeah, a little defense behind Stroman could go a long way today.
Nick Madrigal is leading off and playing second, Willson Contreras is catching, Ian Happ is in left, Seiya Suzuki is in right, and Franmil Reyes is DH. Nico Hoerner is at short, Patrick Wisdom is at first, Zach McKinstry is at third, and Christopher Morel is in center.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:20, pending the weather, from beautiful and historic Wrigley Field.
