Watch: Ian Happ Goes Deep in Milwaukee to Give Cubs Lead
The Brewers and Freddy Peralta did had a no-hitter going on Friday night. However, Brewer’s manager Craig Counsel decided to pull Peralta after pitching six innings and throwing 82 pitches. That did not work out for the Brewers.
After an error that put Nick Madrigal on first base, Ian Happ took a four-seam fastball 378 feet for a two-run home run, and the Cubs first hit of the game.
The homer gave the Cubs a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the 7th.
