THEME GAMES

Fans can mark their calendars for theme games celebrating heritage, culture and community, including Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month and Pride Month.

Returning this regular season will also be the popular Girls Night Out theme game. Following in September, the Cubs will host the can’t-miss Hello Kitty® Night!

Additional details will be shared closer to the respective dates. Fans interested in receiving a theme game promotional item must purchase the corresponding Special Ticket Offer.

SPECIAL TICKET OFFERS

From repping a favorite reality show to showing school spirit, Cubs fans can take advantage of over 35 Special Ticket Offers this season. New additions include a Cubs Survivor “50” Cap and Adventure Wrap to commemorate the show’s 50th season, a Star Wars™ Special Ticket Offer with a Cubs Grogu bobblehead and a Cubs Soccer Jersey that is perfect for summertime soccer matchups. A Japanese Heritage Jersey has also been added to the popular heritage jersey lineup.

Each Special Ticket Offer includes a ticket to the selected game and a promotional item specific to that Special Ticket Offer.

ADDITIONAL CELEBRATIONS

Rounding out this jam-packed promotional calendar, the Cubs will host a Jewish American Community Celebration Wednesday, May 6, bringing fans together to recognize the Jewish community in Chicago with special gameday activations.

The Cubs will also celebrate several milestones during the regular season. Fans are encouraged to come out to the ballpark and join the festivities on the following dates:

  • Saturday, July 18: 2016 World Series Anniversary Celebration
  • Saturday, August 29: Cubs 150th Anniversary Celebration
  • Sunday, August 30: Cubs Hall of Fame Induction

There are so many neat bobbleheads that will be given away this year. There is one of Ben Zobrist after his franchise-altering double in Game 7 of the 2016 World Series, one commemorating Kerry Wood’s 20-strikeout game, a bobblehead of Harry Caray in the broadcast booth, and another featuring Sammy Sosa hitting a home run.

Two bobbleheads that I think will be the most popular, and that I wanted to specifically mention, feature the late Hall of Famers Ryne Sandberg and Ron Santo. Sandberg is depicted with his MVP plaque and multiple Gold Glove Awards. Santo’s shows him performing his iconic heel-click celebration.
