Cubs Clips: Ben Zobrist Was a Man Possessed Last Night (VIDEO)

Ben Zobrist had four RBIs last night to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 5-2 win over the Washington Nationals. Zobrist has been a clutch player for the Cubs with a .377 on-base percentage and 20 RBIs, good enough for second on the team that leads the league in runs.

Ben had two key hits in last night’s game.

The first big hit was his two-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning. Anthony Rizzo had been intentionally walked to load the bases for Ben Zobrist. That was a mistake because this happened:

Ben’s next big hit came in the bottom of the eighth inning and put the game on ice for the Cubs. He came up with one man on and hammered a two-run home run over the left center field wall scoring Tommy La Stella.

Overall, anther great night for Ben and proof to all other teams that if you pitch around any player in the Cubs’ lineup the next guy up will make you pay.
