Watch: Kris Bryant Takes Walk Down Memory Lane as He Returns to Bonanza High School

Kris Bryant certainly seems to have a blessed life, especially now that’s he’s won a World Series in just his second season playing major league baseball. And if that wasn’t enough, he went and got married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica Delp, on January 7, 2017, just a little over two months after winning it all.

All things considered, the reigning NL MVP has good reason to look back fondly on his prep days.

Bryant recently made a trip back to where he met his wife and built a reputation as one of the most talented baseball players in the country, Bonanza High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition to coaches and teachers, Kris’s father, Mike Bryant, played the biggest role in his development. Mike was not only a supportive father but he was also a former professional baseball player turned hitting instructor (check out our four-part interview with the elder Bryant – part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4).
