Jon Lester Throws Sim Game, Could Return Next Week
Jon Lester has been out of action for nearly two weeks with a sore hammy, but he was on the Wrigley Field mound Saturday morning as he prepares to return to the active roster. The Cubs will use Tyler Chatwood as a spot starter Sunday and have Monday off before the Dodgers come to town. With José Quintana and Cole Hamels penciled in for the first two games against LA, there’s a strong possibility that Lester will take the bump for a Thursday start.
