Pete Crow-Armstrong Could Miss 2 Weeks with Bone Bruise on Hand
I’m not sure what it is with highly-ranked Cubs outfield prospects and sustaining hand injuries, but I would like it to stop. Brennen Davis suffered more than one bump and bruise last year when he wore pitches trying to bunt, now Pete Crow-Armstrong is on the shelf for a week or two.

PCA was at Wrigley Monday and took time to take pictures, showing off the splint that partially immobilizes his right hand. It seems like more of a precautionary measure that shouldn’t have any lasting effects, so nothing to fret about. No reason to push things at this point, especially as he’s adjusting to High-A.

The 20-year-old is batting .184 with a .631 OPS and two home runs in nine games with South Bend after putting up a 1.000 OPS in 38 games with Myrtle Beach. It’s just a good thing he’s not up with the Cubs yet, because they’d have to play a man down for a week before finally opting to place him on the IL.
