RanterFest 2024: Comedy, Music and Cubs Fan Fun This Weekend!
Join us this weekend for the Cubs fan festival that celebrates the “Ranter” in all of us: RanterFest! It’s a great party for an awesome cause!
What: RanterFest! Featuring comedy, music, trivia, contests, raffles, softball, and Cubs games.
When: Friday, May 31 – Sunday, June 2 (see detailed schedule below)
Why: We’re coming together to support Lost Boyz, a Chicago sports-based youth development organization, and to bring our talented Cubs fan community together.
Here’s how you can join us for any or all of the RanterFest events!
Friday, May 31: Kick off the weekend with a pregame meetup at Nisei Lounge al 11 AM, followed by the Cubs game. Then Postgame, join us at Output Wrigleyville for a comedy and rock show featuring the Cubs-themed rock of Bleacher Bum Band and standup comedian Cubs fans Joe Kilgallon and Ken Schultz. Plus, performances by Brewers fan comedian Eric Wielo and Reds Podcaster funny men Billy Devore and Chris Weir.
Saturday, June 1: The celebration continues at Noon at Almost Home Tavern with a meet and greet featuring your favorite Cubs media personalities, including Bleed Cubbie Blue, CHGO, Locked on Cubs, Fly the W, Bleacher Nation, the Cubs Spanish language broadcast team, and too many more podcasters, writers and famous fans to mention!
At 1:00, we’ll have live performances from Cubs broadcaster Miguel Esparza, Cubs organist John Benedeck and Danny Rockett. Plus, we’ll have games and Cubs trivia, raffles and contests, with fantastic prizes from our sponsors: Kollexor, Matt Kammerer’s Permanent Paintings, Ballhawk Jewelry, Obvious Shirts, Connect Roasters, Salsa King of Chicago, InTheClutch Shirts, and Club 400.
Then we’ll head over to Wrigley to get Christopher Morel Bobbleheads and watch the Cubs whoop the Reds!
Sunday, June 2: We’ll play a 16-inch softball game or whiffleball game, with a delicious donut brunch. Check sonranto.com/ranterfest for updates on celebrities, location, and time.
Saturday and Sunday are all-ages events!

Through events like RanterFest, we’ve raised thousands of dollars for the Lost Boyz program since 2020, which makes a positive impact on kids in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago with their sports based youth development program. Your ticket purchase directly supports this initiative, with 100% of proceeds from tickets, shirts and raffles going to Lost Boyz.
